Respirology
The Division of Respirology provides comprehensive clinical care for a full range of respiratory conditions.
We run a number of ambulatory clinics and offer a 24-hour hospital based consultation service.
Specific clinical interests of our physicians include:
- Asthma
- COPD
- Lung cancer
- Blood clots
- Musculoskeletal related breathing disorders
- Sleep disorders
Making an appointment
Patients are seen in our clinics by appointment only. New patients can be referred by any licensed physician in Canada and are triaged according to urgency. We offer a rapid assessment consultation within one week for cases of suspected lung cancer, pregnant women, pre-operative assessments for major surgery, and for some patients recently discharged from the emergency department.
Referring a patient
Requests for outpatient respirology consultation should be faxed to 416-480-5153 or emailed to: respirology.admin@sunnybrook.ca.
Requests for a pulmonary function test must include this request form, printed and completed, and faxed to Alison Fairclough at 416-480-4186 or emailed to pf.lab@sunnybrook.ca.
Requests for inpatient respirology consultation is arranged through the Respirologist on call. They can be found by calling Locating at 416-480-4244.
