Sunnybrook Veterans presented with King Charles III Coronation Medals
On May 5, over 40 Veterans, aged 100 and over, were honoured by Premier Doug Ford with the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of their remarkable service and lifelong contributions to Canada. The ceremony took place at Sunnybrook’s Veterans Centre.
“These medals recognize Canadians who have made a significant contribution to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region or community. It is very moving to be here in the presence of our incredible Veterans to whom we owe so much thanks for their service to our country,” said Andy Smith, president & CEO of Sunnybrook.
"It was such an honour to come by and present them with the King Charles medal and just thank them for their service," Premier Ford said, after meeting with each Veteran and presenting them with their medal.
Sunnybrook is home to Canada’s largest Veterans Centre and we are honoured to provide care to those who have served our country.
